Guangdong Environmental Radiation Monitoring Center

GERC (Guangdong Environmental Radiation Monitoring Center) was established on May 18, 1989. It is a unit directly under the Guangdong Provincial Department of Environmental Protection. The experimental office of the Guangzhou headquarters is 4,500 square meters, the Shenzhen branch laboratory is 630 square meters, the western Guangdong branch is 9,149 square meters, and the Guangdong Provincial Urban Radioactive Waste Repository is 400 square meters, equipped with high-performance ionizing radiation and electromagnetic radiation environmental monitoring instruments and equipment. The relevant technical personnel are among the first batch of units qualified by the Ministry of Environmental Protection for radiation monitoring capabilities.
